Stardust (2007)
Like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, this movie is probably better if you've read the book. The beginning was slow and tedious, mixing several different plotlines into a convoluted mess that eventually sorts itself out, but not quite fast enough. That being said, once the whole thing was sorted out, it was a completely enjoyable movie. It just takes a long time to get there. The supporting cast has several shining performances, especially Robert De Niro as a gay pirate captain.
